Dr. Alena Spielberg experienced the transformative power of orthodontic treatment firsthand at an early age, which gave her the confidence and inspiration to pursue a career in orthodontics. Her orthodontist became her mentor, leading her to attend Dickinson College and the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. She earned her Orthodontic Certificate from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Spielberg's loyalty and pride for her alma maters remain strong, as she stays connected by working with Dickinson College’s admission committee and conducting interviews for applicants in North Carolina.

Dr. Spielberg is not only an accomplished orthodontist but also a dedicated mother. She enjoys playing competitive tennis, skiing, and golfing in her spare time. As a former NCAA All-American tennis player, she achieved notable success by winning the USTA 4.5 Nationals in Palm Springs, California, in 2016. However, her greatest passion lies in raising her children, Courtney and Ethan.
Understanding that a child's happiness, safety, and comfort are paramount, Dr. Spielberg takes pride in caring for her patients as if they were her own family. She personally sees every patient at each appointment, and one of the highlights of her job is getting to know the patients and their families.
